Review by spreaditround

spreaditround SET 1: NICU: Standard >

My Soul: First and only version on the tour:

Dirt: Standard:

David Bowie: Solid Bowie with some length, seems underrated.

Frankie Says: Love this tune, never understood why it never got more attention. Played twice on this tour. >

Possum, When the Circus Comes, Gotta Jibboo, Fluffhead: Tell you what, if I am at a show – pretty happy with this selection deep in the first set. Pretty doggone good!!!

SET 2: Boogie On Reggae Woman, Heavy Things: Standard, don’t like HT in this slot.

Tube: Just another sick ’99 Tube.

Back on the Train: Intro played intentionally slow >

Mike's Song: Boring as far as I am concerned but YMMV >

McGrupp and the Watchful Hosemasters: Absolutely fantastic and a show highlight. Jamcharts worthy for sure!

Prince Caspian: Absolutely smoked, one of my favorites! >

Golgi Apparatus: Standard >

Weekapaug Groove: Solid groove, would revisit.

ENCORE: Rocky Top > I Am Hydrogen > Julius: Well, that was interesting! See show notes for the Hydro uniqueness in this slot! Julius was a bit sloppy, Trey cut off Fishman’s drum part at one point.

Second set summary: Pretty good stuff. Tube, McGrupp, Caspian, and Weekapuag for sure I would/will revisit. This show on paper has a bunch of heavy hitters but doesn’t quite live up to what you think it might be capable of, hope that makes sense. Damn good show though all things considered. The next three nights have a consistent downslide from here thought. IMHO.
