theghost 25th Anniversary!

I've had this show for many years and it's one I've gone back to this one many times for the tracks others have mentioned. They're in perfect August 93 form here, but I think this is one of those shows where it's the setlist that dampens its reputation. Opinions on the song choices are a pretty subjective thing of course, but this list doesn't have much pizazz to my tastes. Nor do the songs flow together very well IMO. But the highlights are as high as most of 8/93's others.

This Bag smokes as a rocker...Trey blisters it. I have limits on my tolerance of the most abrasive and deranged moments of the month and this Stash walks the line in spots, but it's a really powerful, psychotic version...must hear once anyway. Buried, Possum, MFMF...more high voltage psychosis. And as mentioned by Westbrook, the YEM is probably the best of the month ( the tour ender on 8-28 is a favorite too...this one is a little weirder). The segment from around 16:30 til the bass jam is like a lightning bolt down your spine. Page's beautiful Coil solo is the one truly timely song choice...like aloe on all the burns and abrasions from the show.

I'd like to see Shapiro kick down SBDs of the YEM and the Stash....and the Bag too if I had my way.
