Review by gigrant

gigrant i agree with Scully. this was a really fine show. it's great that it got released, but being there was a real treat. i was fresh off quitting my crap-ass job and ready to cut loose. said hi to Mike in the parking lot and got there early to hear the Duo. really cool.

Host Across the Potomac was unexpected and beautiful. never heard it since, whihc is a shame. Beltless Buckler was typical Mike, great stuff. Billie Jean was unexpected as well, and i swear i almost had to yell at Trey to get him to pay attention to the seque - he was totally late jumping on Mike's bass lines. but once he got there it was on. Goodbye Head was awesome too.

GRAB was an experience. very different feel than Phish, and it was welcome too. this was like cheating on your wife with an equally hot woman just with different hair color. and with no guilt. i didn't feel like i owed Fish or Page an apology for being there. i'd like to see them do this again, yet at the same time i'm really happy to be seeing high-quality Phish shows right now.
