n00b100 One of the best shows from '99 I've heard so far. The My Left Toe -> Whipping Post segment features some deft, beautiful jamming in the former and some scorching rock in the latter (along with a grand segue); Boogie On stays Type I but hits a really wicked funk groove that'll make your speakers/headphones rattle; Birds of a Feather reaches a multifaceted jam space that might be mistaken for what they were up to in 2011/12 (and thus gets a big thumbs up from me) before it cools down and gets fuzzy and ambient, leading to a frankly *startling* segue into Walk Away; Antelope (mid-set!) has an interesting opening segment that leads into an even more interesting actual jam that features some digressions into sharp funkiness and weird spaciness before cranking up to usual Antelope intensity, making it absolutely must-hear; Suzy Greenberg (!) gets a really relaxed, Page-driven reading; Fish screeches through Purple Rain as a fun palate-cleanser; and YEM features some glorious Gordon bass-in-your-face and a charming reprise of Boogie On. Big-time jams, massive crowd energy, remarkable setlist flow...it all adds up to a glorious show.
