VOTE FOR 2022'S JAM OF THE YEAR

It’s a new year and Riviera Maya is around the corner, so it's time once again for the Phish.net “Jam of the Year” tournament. As they have done yearly since 2014, Phish.net forum users have come together to seed a 64 jam bracket highlighting the best of improv of 2022.

2022 JOTY Bracket
2022 JOTY Bracket

Every Monday, we will create a thread to post new head-to-head matchups based on regions within the bracket, beginning in the Willy region. Voting for the first round is open to all and currently underway on the forum (look for the ***asterisks***). There you will also find that we have created LivePhish+ and Phish.in playlists for your listening pleasure and convenience. Please join us for voting, discussion, and debate on the forum each week as we narrow the field and ultimately determine the “2022 JOTY”.

mcgrupp81 The AC Sigma Oasis was the last song I spotted on this bracket and at first I thought it was missing. My initial reaction was “damn, was 2022 really chocked full of that many better than that one?”

Side note - was listening to some June 2000 Phish today. Damn shame they took such a long break to recharge the batteries when they were still cooking.

Ripenesswasall Great bracket. I want to shout out two of my favorite jams this year that did not make the cut, both from 5/28 in Orange Beach.

Mr. Completely and Golden age, both incredible!!! Mr. C builds and builds, with really mesmerizing synth work from the chairman. The energy is so intense and after 7 minutes of climbing the mountain, they go into an epic Walk Away with Mr. C teases from fish. Chef’s kiss!!!

I was in tears during golden age’s triumphant peak. Fwiw, this rendition made it onto Mike’s 2022 highlights playlist.
