MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 455

Welcome to the 455th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the second of March - thanks to MJM HoFer @WayIFeel for the clips! The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the song and date of both mystery clips, which are connected by a theme. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Stay safe!

Answer: Congrats to @perpg on his second MJM win! This time he stood on the shoulders of @PuckerFants and identified the 8/17/96 "It's Ice" and 4/8/94 "It's Ice," recommended by MJM Emeritus @WayIFeel. We'll see if that double clipper wants to pull me down Monday for MJM456...

sumac22 D'oh! Beat me to it! How did I forget about Clifford Ball? Damn you @perpg! (Just kidding, lol.)

Funny enough, I was just listening to the 12/7/97 It's Ice on my way home. What a coincidence, albeit an eerie one. Nice win.

A_Buddhist_Prodigy What in the actual F#%K!! How is that first clip It's Ice?!?! I couldn't have been more off, I was thinking I heard a Wingsuit thing going on. You know, I was only off by a couple of decades or so! Nice work, you all continue to amaze me!

mcgrupp81 Love the picks. I saw a car on Saturday that was littered with Plattsburgh stickers on the window and bumper. That set II is one of my faves and that Slave is one of my all-time favorite Phish performances.

perpg I was at the Clifford Ball so when I heard that first clip I had one of those weird out-of-body moments like when you smell a smell you haven't smelled (smelt?) in 20 years and you're immediately transported back to your grandmother's basement or that comic book shop from childhood or whatever. It's like the opposite of deja vu, in that you immediately know exactly where that smell is from. The second clip I guessed was probably It's Ice too and probably from mid-90s so I figured I'd needed to do some digging but luckily I started with what @Puckerfants posted above me and he had nailed it (thanks dude!) As a result I was actually able to get work done last Monday afternoon instead of frantically listening to Phish clips for hours, which is probably what I'll be doing later today.
