MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 407

Welcome to the 407th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the second contest of March. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of both mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Hint: It's fitting that there are two jams this week, given the song in which this week's jams were played. It's also fitting that I've seen this song performed live twice.

Answer: For the fifth time in the past 101 MJMs, @serpent_deflector gets the job done and takes home the prize, this time with the help of the hint. This week's hint made reference to the fact that both clips came from "Saw It Again," from 7/4/00 and 12/12/97. Last night I convinced myself that there was no way you actually had the second clip correct, because a) it sounds a lot like a number of other Fall '97 jams including parts of the previous night's Drowned and DWD jams, and b) you would have checked other Saw It Again jams immediately, and there are so few to run through (there are only 5 longer than 7 minutes)

Instead, the hint just closed the deal for you haha

You got me all wrong, Pete. That would have been too logical.

I was looking for almost any other theme but that, despite the ‘jams from the the same song’ theme being one of the most frequent.
