MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 396

Welcome to the 396th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the third of November. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. This week's puzzle had a helping friendly hand from MJM HoFer @justino - thanks dude! To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of both mystery clips. The clips are connected by a theme, but the theme needn't be part of the correct answer. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Answer: It only took 62 minutes, but @raisinsnacks has crushed the MJM for the third time; this time, he quickly identified the two Hartford jams: 10/27/13 "Golden Age" and 11/26/97 "Gumbo." Stay tuend for MJM397!

This was exactly my first thought too. I really thought it was that Zero for the second clip. Mike plays basically the same line in a slightly different key/tempo. I kept searching and coming back to it a half-dozen times trying to get the clips to line up, before I looked at the Gumbo earlier in the show.

uctweezer There’s a new crew of MJM wizards on the rise right now and the blog is getting worked on a weekly basis

I’ve got to step up the difficulty - multi clippers lasting only a few hours now, pre hint??

Dear God, NOOO!!!! I need them to be dumbed down, at least for the 'easy' ones! I've been seeing them for over 25 years and I listen to them all the time . . . yet I still can't get one! Have Mercy!!

I've always wanted an MJM featuring crowd noise clips between songs.
This one peaks like a Kung.
